The weeks are flying by & I’m trying to keep up! Here’s a glimpse into our last three weeks…

Miles looking very french in a top I received as a gift, bought in Paris. It’s seriously the most beautifully made top, I wish he’d fit into it forever.

Our first warm day of summer break we headed to ‘hovander park’, a local old homestead turned park.

I made a skirt! Super easy & comfy, my fav bit is that Noah knows it’s called a maxi skirt. 🙂

I dusted off the running gear. It wasn’t pretty, but I’m hoping to train with a group in town for a half-marathon {in Sept}. I’m not convinced yet…

Miles is DYING to crawl. He has resorted to a technique we call ‘the inchworm’. He goes up on all fours, and kind of jumps/lunges forward. He usually lands on his face, cries, & then does it again!

The 3 oldest took swimming lessons this past week. Stella only refused to take part on one day, that’s pretty good for Stella.

This past week the kids also did a kids camp, with a western theme. They loved it! And I loved the quiet mornings… family fun night was Wednesday & included a wagon ride, enjoyed by all, including my old college roomate who came to visit for a few days. We got to show her small town usa!

The per-diest cowgirl you ever did see.

Because it’s never boring around here, we got to rescue a bird that flew into our garage & couldn’t figure out how to get out. By ‘we’ I mean Laurel, my houseguest. 😉

Today Laurel was heading down to Seattle so I suggested I go down too, just to do a little shopping. I have a daughter who is going to be very excited to open her birthday present in a few weeks, than you American Girl.

I’ll leave you with my fav photo from the last few weeks. We’re still waiting for summer to decide to stay for good, and I’m hoping there will be many afternoons spent jumping in the play pool!

Happy Friday!

It’s Friday, day 2 of summer holidays, and so far there has been shouting, slamming of doors, throwing of toys {by my kids not me, just to clarify}, and about a million ‘go be by yourself and simmer down’. It’s going to be a long summer at this rate. There’s something to be said for the 7-8 week summer holidays we used to get in the UK. It has literally been raining cats and dogs, so that doesn’t help. Although if dogs & cats were to fall from the sky, they’d probably be pretty thrilled.
Onto the photos…

Just to prove I’m not lying, do you see those raindrops? I’m trying to be ‘thakful’ for them. Our ‘N’ got lost in the move I guess…

image

Last Saturday I got to go shoppong with the Libolt ladies. This chair was in one of the changing rooms I was in. You know it’s a nice shop when they have Tolix chairs in their rooms. {It’s real, I checked}

image

We painted our old change table for the boys dresser. It had these weird plexi ‘windows’ in the drawers that I was never really fond of, so we sprayed them with chalkboard paint {Mike’s idea}. I’m pretty happy with it, & the boys finally have somewhere to put their clothes.

image

Stitches out & chin healed! After wearing a band-aid for 2 weeks straight {not the same one, eww} she finally let me keep it off. Now she’s got a tough looking scar.

Noah had some Birthday money to spend, Captain America will now be joining Iron Man at our house.

image

I keep thinking these will be a good treat/snack for the kids. Only problem is that they are highly addictive and I’m the grown-up so I can have them whenever I want, and I want them pretty often.

image

This little peanut is loving the finger foods. Cheerios, banana, sweet potato puffs & avocado were on the menu today. Now if only he would sleep through the night regularly {if I keep saying it maybe it’ll happen!}

With June may come rain here in the NW, but it also comes with peonies, I love!

Happy Friday!

How can it be Friday again? That week disintegrated, & only two and a half days of school next week, & then summer holidays! I’m half excited/half dreading. Is that bad? I’m looking forward to not rushing in the morning, not nagging over honework & enjoying easy going days with my kids, I’m dreading the ‘I’m-bored-it’s-been-raining-for-a-week-straight-so-in-desperation-I-thought-it’d-be-a-good-idea-to-go-to-Target-days.’

Ah well, c’est la vie, bring on summer!

Now for the pics…

We planted a very mini garden this past Saturday, just like our yard, the mini size is just right for my level of gardening!

image

I was not excited about putting his 7 month onesie on this week, his first year is going way too fast for my liking. {although if he would kindly sleep through the night on a regular basis I’d be much obliged.}

image

We ate a lot of cake this week, which is my kinda week! Celebrated the May family birthdays Sunday, made this cake {thank you pinterest}. I could eat chocolate cake every day, oh wait, I think I have this week.

image

Trip to DQ for Mike’s birthday dessert. Stella was feeling festive and wore her {way too small} cat costume. And why not?

image

My new fav, and after a ridiculous trip to Costco, let me tell ya, I needed a glass.

image

Trying to take self-portraits of the glasses I was trying on to show Mike. I am completely unable to make a decision on my own, except maybe what to have for lunch, and I have a bit of a track record of making poor glasses choices…

image

She’s letting me braid her hair!! Sure it was to keep it away from her stitches but I’ll take it!

image

And finally my fav shot of the week! Noah got taekwondo {I have no idea how to spell that word} lessons for his birthday, he certainly loves the uniform!

Happy Friday!
{I get to go to UVillage tomorrow, Hurray!}
