Another two weeks have flown by!  Here is a glimpse of what we’ve been up to.

image

Berry season continues, now with blueberries & blackberries. I turned some into a ‘dump cake’, so easy & so good!

image

image

Miles is on the move! Standing & climbing as often as possible.

image

We had promised the kids a trip to the zoo during the summer holidays, and we managed to squeeze it in on our last weekend of holidays, what a fun day!

So it turns out Miles likes ice-cream.

image

Monday Noah & Livi got to visit their new classrooms, meet their teachers & drop off school supplies. They both like their teacher, and we’re hoping for a great year!

image

They also got to ride a bus to school for the first time EVER!

image

Stella had her first day of school too this week. She went into Kindergarten for an hour and really loved it, she also wants to ride the bus, not sure if I’m ready for that!

image

Miles is now 10 months old! Why do the months keep flying by? He is such a joy.

Happy Friday!

The two major events around here this week were the fair & a heat wave.  I enjoyed the fair a bit more than the heat!

image

image

The first thing we saw at the fair were the cows. I love the black & white! We got to see a newborn calf, only a few hours old.

image

Noah was delighted to sit on the police motorcycle.

image

Stella loved the carousel, all other rides were deemed too scary.

We tried to beat the heat by heading to the water. It was definitely cooler.

image

Miles was a bit of a trouble maker this week. He’s discovered the joy of making messes, oh dear.
Speaking of messes, this room makes me want to cry sometimes. Why so messy? Why?

image

Miles also learned to clap this week, he’s pretty pleased with himself!

Happy Friday!

Another week of summer holidays gone, 2 more to go before school starts. {!!!}
Here’s what kept us busy this past week…

image

image

image

Saturday was blazing hot & we spent a wee while at the tractor & machinery show. It was a true taste of small town life, and, until the heat got to us, enjoyed by all.

image

I’m trying to train for a half-marathon at the end of september {& questioning my sanity every step of the way}, & it is tough running in 80* heat… really hoping there isn’t some crazy heatwave at the end of September.

Sunday we went down to Seattle with our good friends for a Sounders game. We wandered around for a few hours before the game, eating & window shopping, we found this really great shop too.

image

image

The Sounders game was so much fun! It is definitely my new favorite sport to watch.

image

Made some raspberry jam, a favorite around here.

image

We are also eating blueberries like they are going out of style.

image

We hit the beach Friday afternoon. Miles didn’t last too long since he kept trying to eat the sand & stones!

Happy Weekend!

Week 3 of holidays just came to a close and I am wiped out! Time to catch up on everything!

image

We had lunch with great-grandma before heading to the airport & back to Lynden.

image

We camped at the koa in Lynden. By camped I mean we spent our days there & then Stella, Miles & I went to our house to sleep. Worked out great!

image

A little taste of Italy at our local bakery.

image

Miles is 9 months old. I couldn’t even bring myself to post a pic of him. I don’t want him to grow up!!

image

i love safeco field.

image

miles knows how to watch a game!

We drove down to Seattle to catch a baseball game & spend some time with the Portland cousins.

{Seriously, camping isn’t what it used to be}

image

We met up with Scotland friends!!

Back flips into the pool, ouch.

We ended our time with mexican food! I enjoyed a few sips of this great margarita & some fab fish tacos.

We had a great time away, but I’ll sleep well in my own bed tonight. Laundry & real life start tomorrow….

Happy Friday!
